COVID-19 Updates:

With a number of new COVID-19 cases recently announced in Queensland, we encourage you to stay up-to-date with official health updates. If you are feeling unwell please stay home and immediately get tested. Current contact tracing alerts can be found here.

Providing  help and safety to those in need:

These are challenging times for vulnerable people and their families.  At Community Health, Emergency Care and Support (CHECS) we take some of those challenges and turn them in to positives.  We provide care services to people in Brisbane, Logan and the Gold Coast.

We specialise in Behaviour Support and with our history in corrections, youth justice, mental health, and child protection not much surprises us, and with that we are able to see past behaviour and address the need.

We aim to reduce the occurrence and impact of behaviours of concern.

We reduce the use of Restrictive Practice.

Our services include:

Behaviour Support (with/without restrictive practice)

Transport and travel

Community participation, access and linking

Household and domestic tasks

Supported independent living - (permanent and short term accommodation)

We provide these services with the highest quality and standards second to no other.

CHECS and the NDIS:

At Community Health Emergency Care and Support (CHECS) Pty Ltd we believe in the NDIS mantra "nothing about us without us" and that is what guides what we do with the participant and the people important to them.  The NDIS (National Disability Insurance Scheme) provides people with an intellectual or physical disability the means to transform their lives and we have taken that onboard.

In our experience the NDIS really does encourage people and their families to plan and reach goals that are meaningful to them, to try new things, to experience places they have never been before, to grow personally, to learn new skills, to be independent and as result be happier in their lives.

At CHECS providing high quality support and care to vulnerable people is the natural result of our positive attitude toward helping people.

CHECS is an NDIS Registered Provider.

We have worked in Human Services at the frontline for many years.
